The Tribus species is a level 3 (common) breed of frogs. The name "Tribus" is derived from the English word "tribe."
The Tribus is a POP (Previously Only Promotional) frog. It can currently only be obtained by purchasing it for 25 potions in the FrogMart (when available), or as a gift from another player. It can not be found in the Pond, in minigames, or in presents.
Tribus frogs have mask patterns over their faces in the pattern color. The stripe from the nose back, the stripe behind the eyes, and the rest of the body are solid in the base color.
The Tribus was the first special event, limited edition frog, originally distributed during the first week of the game's release.
