Lots of Tips!

Ok phew here goes:

• Fix the Mailbox Glitch
• Make a way to message neighbors (my top one).
• New breeds (updated: am now level 17 and see little point in playing).  Already added in version 2.0!!!
• More habitat and Mailbox space (10 seems to be the magic number).
• Stats (lifetime frogs, history etc. so we dont have to go to Plus to see it)
• A way to store and sell habitat backgrounds you've replaced, and a way to catalouge backrounds. In January when I first started playing I accidentally replaced my Nursery "Frog Print Habitat" with a Dirt habitat that I hated and I just got it back a week ago by finding it in the pond!
• More Frog "games." Puzzle is too hard and Race is too risky. That brings me to my next suggestion.
• Make a list or a chart that lists all of your frogs by level from best racing to worst racing frogs. This will make it a tad bit easier to race. Also all of the frogs by breed by level, for instance, Level 6: Dextera, Mixtus, Viduo, Calyx (Not actual order) because all of the charts on the internet show specific breeds, like 1. Purple Viola Persona and 2. Blue Ceres Ligo, and this makes it very hard!
• Make glass chromas worth more money than others (we have to tear our hair out just to GET them, so we should be able to SELL them for a reasonably high amount).
• Make more "Pocket" games and maybe a whole "Pocket" series! I love the gameplay but frogs aren't really my favorite animal. maybe Pocket Turtles or even Pocket Dogs.
• When you have the option to use potions to mature a frog, make an "are you sure?" box to make sure you want to use potions. Believe me, I don't know how many potions I wasted because the baby frog was hopping around, I had to tap it twice and i just HAPPENED to tap right where the "use potions" button was.
• Make an option to TURN OFF FROG REQUESTS because I never turn them in and they hardly ever ask for frogs I have, but when you decline the requests a new one pops up every ten seconds, even when you are on Plus+.
• Make an option to "freeze" the FrogMart on a particular day so you can have time to make more money/potions without time traveling. (You don't really need to wait for 1 year. Instead, if you are lucky maybe a few weeks, or 2~3 weeks. Just wait then you will find the same frog in the Mart.)
• Make it so that you can turn off sounds or have a "music" mode where you can listen to music or mute while playing.

Race against Friends

I think this is a good idea because you could really test your racing frogs against your friends. Also, maybe if you race your friends you could get a higher value prize like maybe a potion. For example, there might be a 1 potion entry fee. Then the person in first gets 3 potions. The person in second gets 2 potions and the person in third gets 1 potion. Well, just an idea. More than 7 items per habitat and PF Player Frog Mart

Maybe 10 or 12 items per habitat? I also think it'd be cool if players on PF could put up their own frogs for sale in the frog mart. When ever a person sells their frog, they could have a choice to put their frog up on the frog mart for a custom price. There could be 2 slots for each level up to level 9, and 2 specialty frogs up for sale for stamps or potions. The first people to put their frogs up for sale on that day get to be in the market, and select a price for their frog. Whenever a frog is bought, the player's frog that was for sale gets the coins/potions/stamps they asked for the frog, and the empty slot will be available for another player to post their frog for sale. At the end of every 24 hour period, if a player's frog was not bought, it will be back in their mailbox and all the slots will be empty and ready for more people to post a frog up for sale. PLEASE ADD THIS TO THE NEXT UPDATE!!

Platinum Frog Mutation

It would be very cool if the next pocket frog color mutation would result in platinum-colored frogs. It would be a nice complement to the existing glass mutation. Would it be possible to implement this in a future update?

Mark Obtained Frogs in the Breeding Screen

When breeding frogs, would it be possible to mark the ones [like a dot beside their name or something similarly simple] that you already have in the Froggydex? That way, it's much easier to see if the pairing might result in new frogs or not.

I like that Idea. Similarly I would like there to be some indication of whether a gift frog is a new breed for you or not. Say an * beside the name after you get a prize or gift to tell you its a frog you've never seen or a ? like in the racing screen? This way you don't unnecessarily clutter your mailbox with frogs you already collected. Be nice if the same thing was available on Frog Mart screen too. --arwyn3

New Breeds

Does anyone know if it's possible to suggest new breeds to be added? Just names and ideas, no artwork...I don't have time for that! Fun game though. Thanks.

Extra Habitats

I get that you don't want to give users 50 Habitats, but a few more would be nice. With 40 varieties of frogs it takes up 5 Habitats just to store one frog of each breed (assuming you are really good with managing frog colours). It doesn't leave much room to breed frogs. If frogs all only took a couple mins to breed it wouldn't be an issue, but with some taking days, it does get frustrating at times. A couple more habitats please!

Let's have a bang-up completion

So I get all the way through the awards. I collect all the frogs. I level up to Level 17. NOW WHAT? I have patiently waited out the hatching period and sold young frogs.. but are new frogs coming soon? And also.. it would be lovely if you could devise a way - maybe a special rock or leaf gift - that would allow a SHORT gestation time in a habitat when you get to a high enough level. Breeding and selling, breeding and selling, is such an artificial way of levelling up (though better than nothing). - briegull Oct 29

Maybe add a few more achievements for the completionist folks. Achieve for getting all of each breed. More collector benchmarks instead of topping at 1000 different breeds. Things like that. --arwyn3

Rename "Woven Habitat" to differentiate between 2 different ones

There's a woven reed/rattan habitat, and a woven thread habitat, both of which are named "Woven Habitat" - there should be a different name, or a number added to the name like the two different gift paper ones have. - penemuel Oct. 25

'Save' button needed after arranging scenery items

I can't count the number of times I've moved things to exactly where I want them, and come back to the habitat later to find things either moved, facing the wrong direction, or stacked in the wrong order if I placed something on top of something else. - penemuel Oct 25

Glow Frogs?

Personally, I think it would be really cool if we could have glow frogs, like the one in DizzyPad. Also we would love more breeds, and perhaps make sparkling frogs, and even a Dragon Tamer frog, also seen in DizzyPad?

Catalogue Slots

Make it possible to rearrange the items in the catalog, in other words allow the user to move catalogued slots up and down to sort them however one wants to. As it is, every time one adds a new frog to the catalogue, it ends up at the bottom of the list, making it hard to find frogs (especially when all 50 slots are full!) and keep them organized. One should be able to slide them up and down (I'm not an app developer, but it seems that other apps - including the Playlists in the actual music iPod app - have that "Edit" button at top and an option to slide the entries up and down. I don't know how hard that is to implement, however, especially as this is a free app. As for "Pocket Frogs" being free, it seems so popular that I think the developers should make a paid version, or add more in-game purchases... I would be willing to pay a dollar or two for it!). Oh, and in the PFW Catalogue Manager - I'm not great with spreadsheets... Could someone add instructions for moving the items up and down so that my spreadsheet catalogue matches my in-game one as I change it? Thanks! - osofine1 (Plus+ username)

Request Market

Not sure how they could work this out, but it might be cool if the Requests section was more like a market, where people could request certain frogs and offer any reward they like. - Fizzisist 23:17, October 1, 2010 (UTC)

That's a neat idea. Maybe something amongst friends to keep the bandwidth down (I'm not sure if bandwidth is the right term, but it gives an idea of what I mean). If not amongst friends, then separated out by breeds, perhaps? I'm thinking of the sheer number of requests I've seen on some pages and I could see a Huge database needing to be maintained by Nimblebit. If they could come up with a way to implement something like a market amongst the player base, that would be quite fantastic. I think it would give those who have already done 'all there is to do in the game' something of a challenge, or at least a purpose.

PFW Catalogue Manager

For those of you struggling with the new breeds and extra habitats available I have appended thePFW Catalog Manager with new breeds, fixed a spelling error and extended to accommodate the new number of habitats available. Please help me test this beta. 8/11/2011 michifrog

Version 1.3 no Ludo in pattern as a selection Feb, 22, 2011 I'm using Version 3.1 and "Clear" doesn't seem to be included. (Chroma, however, is.) (P.S. the breed is called Glass, not Clear. Look again)

Just a heads up that the new version of the PFW Catalogue Manager isn't entirely working (Award Frog Match isn't working).

Google Spreadsheets doesn't use the same formula nomenclature as other programs and sometimes it breaks the spreadsheets when they are converted.Sexy Farmer 07:30, October 2, 2010 (UTC)

Go ahead and pretend that some of us will spend and spend - create space on the spreadsheet for the 50 catalogue spots and then the 56 habitat slots and 8 nursery slots - so a total of 114 slots needed in the spreadsheet....

Black Floris Ligo does not trigger reward flag using 1.3. (You have some spaces at the end of items, in this case black had a space at the end so did not match)

I don't know how to comment here so feel free to edit this if it isn't up to your standards or just in the wrong area. I just wanted to say thanks a lot for the catalog! It has been very helpful. I like being able to see if my catalog is being used effectively.

Also if anyone is interested I have finished editing the catalog list. Currently It only tells you if there is an awards frog in it. I need it to do something else because there is the issue of making an award frog with the frogs in the catalog. In other words, there is 19 colors 15 Pattern colors and 39 patterns which have to be made by 50 catalog slots. I had to get creative to use them best! I used a combination of single use combination frogs (C,P/C,P) and most used color and pat/col combinaitions. I don't have a problem sharing this list or my catalog(I inserted the list into the awards area of the current catalog manager(1.3)) if someone tells me where to post it or asks for it? It's very useful for using the 50 slots for finding all the award frogs. Thanks again for your time and skill!

P.s. I would like to add a suggestion to the Catalog Manager. I want to know what frogs attributes in my catalog (after inputting them into your PFW manager) belong to what awards. Like which color and pattern color combinations are apart of which awards. Also the combination of pattern color and patterns to awards would be helpful in determining what frogs to keep. I have tried coming up with a formula for it and cannot. Will you message me with suggestions if you find out how? For instance when I have a frog in the catalog that isn't an award frog but has the said combinations for attributes the different awards that use them will show up in a list maybe? I hope that makes sense. Thanks.

• Add a line in the award for the Frog request

• Ability to remove already accomplished awards. Instead of hard coding the number of lines in the functions in Calculator, use a cell to hold that data.

Another set of suggestions from hapes for the catalog manager:

1> Award management. I have awards, and since I often look at my Google Docs catalogue from my phone (no iPad here), it would be nice to say "I have "A Single Rainbow"" and not get the "Award Frog: Yes" for the frogs in that award.

2> Catalog cost/max sale price columns. When breeding for a specific frog, I'll buy frogs from the catalog to get the base components, then breed the heck out of them. Would be nice to know how much I will need to breed to make back the cost of the frogs I bought.

3> A row (or more) for each habitat that indicates the main goal of the frogs in that habitat. For instance, earlier I was using Habitat 1 to breed to get a Chroma frog (which worked out after like 30 eggs). But since I don't have all day to mess with my frogs, I tend to forget what I'm using each habitat for. A place in the Catalogue Manager for that information would be lovely. (Can I just insert a row above or below the habitat for this? I don't want to mess up any formatting or formulae)

Defect in Catalogue Manager: Lanterna and Glacio don't have rarity values. In my game, Lanterna frogs are rarity 3, which I am entering into my copy of the spreadsheet. Don't know what Glacios are.

Sell all/Selling/New frogs

I think habitats should have a sell all or move all button so you don't have to click each frog but not a button that's easy to hit accidentally. And also, we should be able to sell frogs to people for a price WE want. Even so, we should have new frogs after level 17, because alot of people dont play after level 17 because there are no new frogs.

Not sure how to work this, more of a question that a suggestion. The frogs in the habitat seem to be randomly arranged. For example when completing the weekly set the frogs are rarely in the order they are in the weekly set section in my habitat. Also when I have a habitat with only white and black anuras they are not steppe rated by color, but all mixed up. I tried to see whether or not it has to do with happiness or adult status or value, none of that seems to make an impact.

It appears that frogs are sorted in the habitat in the order that they were initially addded to your collection. Once a frog has been bred or placed in a habitat from the mailbox, the date and time of that first add is the date and time that the frogs are sorted by in the habitat. Using potions or going to the pond to artifically age a frog does not change the initial add date that it is sorted by.

My Suggestions

I have a few suggestions!:

1. More mailbox slots! I really think there needs to be more! I barely have any stamps left, and have way too many potions! More mailbox slots would make the game way better, maybe even unlimited slots if the creators can.

2. More things to do with potions! Like I said before, I have way too many potions and there is not much to do with it. I don't buy from the frog mart, I rarely ever race, I wait it out or time travel when I'm going to sell my frogs, and my potions just sit there! We really need more things to do with them!

3.

chameleon frog I think there should be a chameleon frog that alters between colors of the surrounding habitat like on the frog print habitat it would change from maybe frog head to backdrop color.Basicly a combo of glass and chroma.

Switching frogs between 2 habitats

I think PF should let players switch frogs between habitats. This would be useful when all habitats are full and the player has reached the top of the number of habitats.

Playing offline with Android version

I cannot play PF wuthout internet. I'm holding a Wi-Fi device, no 3G. I would like to play offline if there's no Wi-Fi hotspot.

I have noticed people complaining about having no room for frogs...So first off,make 100 habitats availible and the max price of the 16th habitat you buy.PLEASE ADD THIS FEATURE!!Master of the Eclipse.

Lock Frogs

Having just accidentally sold a third of my color wheel, I would like to be able to lock certain frogs and eggs from inadvertent sales (Added)

Move All (except eggs) in Nursery Habitat

I love the "move all" option, but there are times I have seven frogs and one egg in the nursery and I would like to move the frogs without selecting them one at a time. I understand that VIPs can move eggs to any habitat so the "move all" could work the way it currently does for them and just not move the eggs for those who aren't allowed to have eggs anywhere else. (Added)

"View Nursery" Button

After breeding frogs in the habitats, the dialog box when the nursery is not full has a "View Nursery" button and a "Continue" button; I'd really like to see the "View Nursery" button in addition to the "Continue" button in the "Cannot breed frogs, your Nursery habitat is full." dialog box.

Background and Scenery Inventory

There have been times when I get a new background and realize that I really don't like it and want my old background back. In addition, all my habitats have the maximum number of scenery bling and I don't have enough gold yet to buy another habitat so any new scenery items I find in the pond has to be saved in my inbox or thrown away. I'd like the ability to store some (limited) amount of backgrounds and scenery in an inventory.
