The Marinus species is a level 5 (rare) breed of frogs. The Latin prefix "mari"- means "sea" or "ocean", referring to the frog's wave-like patterns.
The Marinus is a POP (Previously Only Promotional) frog. It can currently only be obtained by purchasing it for 25 potions in the FrogMart (when available), or as a gift from another player. It can not be found in the Pond, in minigames, or in presents.
The Marinus frog has multiple wave-like stripes that are spread horizontally throughout the whole body. It appears that there are ten visible pattern stripes on the frog's body and legs in the secondary color. The spaces in between these stripes are solid in the base color.
