Pocket Frogs includes 41,216 different frogs which the player can collect, breed, and share.
Genetic Attributes[]
Each frog is determined by three genetic attributes: Base Color, Secondary Color, and Breed. The name of each frog is given by the name of each of its attributes; for example, if the breed is Marmorea, the base color is Golden, and the secondary color is Bruna, then the frog would be a Golden Bruna Marmorea.
All base colors and secondary colors are available at the start, though the player must obtain most of the colors from breeding with pond frogs (since they only start with two frogs). Breeds are unlocked when users reach certain levels, which coincides with a frog's rarity: Breeds unlocked between levels 1 and 4 are common, breeds unlocked between levels 5 and 8 are Rare, breeds unlocked between levels 9 and 12 are Endangered, and all breeds unlocked thereafter are Legendary. Some frog breeds are classified as Promotional (or POP frogs), which means that they cannot be found in normal means. POP frogs can only be obtained in two ways: Purchasing them from the FrogMart with 25 potions, or by having them gifted to you by a friend. Promotional-only frogs can be bred to create more frogs of the same breed.
In most cases, breeding two frogs together has up to eight potential outcomes; one for each unique possible combination between breed, base color, and secondary color. For example, if a Black Callaina Stellata was bred with a Black Aurum Spinae, the possible outcomes would be a Black Calliana Stellata, a Black Aurum Stellata, a Black Calliana Spinae, or a Black Aurum Spinae.
However, certain combinations can produce mutations (or anomalies) that can result in either Glass frogs or Chroma frogs. If this happens, one of the possible expected outcomes will be replaced with a glass/chroma variation. For example, if you attempted to breed a Black Picea Anura with a Cocos Cafea Anura, it would result in a Glass Cafea Anura instead of a Black Cafea Anura.
If you wish to view the current known/verified breeding combinations that result in a glass or chroma frog, you can look at the charts listed on the Glass page and the Chroma page.
Currently, there are 23 base colors, 16 secondary colors, and 112 breeds of frogs, making a total possible combination of 41,216 (23*16*112) unique types of frogs.
See Breeding Strategies for examples of ways to breed for a particular frog, and for efficient ways to complete the "Breed Expert" award.
If you want to view the information about a particular type of frog/frogs, there is a Google Doc that lists the maximum value, tame amount, growth time, speed and stamina stats of every possible combination in the game.
Downloadable Breeding Spreadsheets[]
These spreadsheets can be useful when breeding to complete all frogs of a particular breed in the Froggydex, or in breeding a particular color/breed combination frog for Weekly Sets or Awards.

Currently, there are 112 unique frog breeds which can be obtained. Most can be found in the pond, in presents, from fireflies, or from minigames. However, there are a handful of breeds which are Promotional Frogs, or POP frogs, which are obtained either by purchasing them in the FrogMart for 25 potions on certain days, or when they are gifted to the player.
Frogs with an asterisk after their names are POP frogs. A complete list of Promotional frogs can be viewed here.
