Fireflies were introduced in version 3.6.10 of the game.
Fireflies occasionally appear at random within The Pond and frog Habitats. Upon tapping a firefly, they can give a variety of rewards, similarly to that of presents.
However, there are a few differences between fireflies and presents. Unlike presents, fireflies can be found in frog habitats, can offer ads for rewards if they are enabled, do not appear to give habitat backgrounds or decorations, and have an immediate frog shipping time. Frog shipments from fireflies can also bypass full Mailbox limitations, the same way that Free Gifts can.
Currently, fireflies can give the following rewards when tapped:
- A randomly generated number of coins
- A randomly generated number of stamps
- A randomly generated number of potions
- A random frog, dependent on the player's level
- An opportunity to open an extra gift (coin gift, potion gift, stamp gift, scenery gift or rare frog gift) by watching an optional advertisement. However, this will not appear if ads are turned off or the player is offline.
