As for the "menu frog" I don't remember exactly how it worked but my recollection was that every week/day/set time period, you would be told the frog (colors and pattern) that someone wanted to adopt, and you would bred and submit that specific frog. I remember getting to it through the menu button, it being one of the menu options, perhaps where sets is or in the frogmart.
I never played with friends or intentionally connected with other people, so unless it was something that apple's game center did, it was an internal gameplay mechanic.

The chart lists black picea and beige Bruna cluniculas as being a glass frog combo, but it's not an option for me?
Also i used to play this game forever ago and remembered there being a thing where there was a specific frog that was requested and then you could sell over in the menu. Does that still exist because I'm not seeing it.
