Hey Deby! I've been the one sending you the Dextera Color Wheel -- it might be a bit too high of a level for you to use it as a colorwheel right now, but it's easy to create a new one using the one I am sending. I hope I'm not overwhelming your mailbox! I try to just send two a day so you can get them and still have room for your other stuff. The whole wheel will take up 3 habitats.
As for my strategy -- Ages ago, I worked very hard to get each set within the week they came out. Now I have to start all over with that, and it's not as important to me as it once was. Those potions and stamps were vital then (I started playing 10 years ago, then stopped playing for maybe 6 years before picking it back up recently).
My current goal is to work on completing breeds. I have a multi-approach strategy for this.
Part 1: pick two breeds -- one high lvl, and one low lvl.
Part 2: Create a full color wheel for both of the chosen breeds from my main color wheel (or breed a high lvl frog against your low-lvl color wheel)
Part 3: Put frogs of the same lvl in the same habitats so they can grow up (Yes, I have the vip package, or whatever they call it now, so I can move eggs to any habitat, and I have twice as many per level, if I can afford to buy them).
Part 4: Wait and sell when adult.
Part 5: Repeat!
I work towards two different breeds at once so that I don't have to wait 2 days between each breeding cycle (and thus playing the game). I keep one of nearly every breed so I have them available when I do choose to go towards a set, so that takes up a good bit of my space. That leaves me with around 20 open habitats. 6 of those are tied up with the two current breeding wheels. For the rest, I keep around 6 dedicated to high lvl frogs (inverso for now) and breed 2-3 habitats per day, so I'm always growing coins by a lot to get more habitats. Then I'm working on a low level frog that I can do two rounds of each day (Calyx - 9 hours).
One reason why I have a full color wheel of the breed I'm working on is because then I don't have to worry about any low lvl frogs, and should (in theory) get the dex completed faster as there are only 4 options vs 8 for each new egg.
